'Rotated hearing' is an conceptual exploration of our mental and physical reaction on distorted sensory input. By means of a pair of headphones combined with microphones the oral input of both ears is reversed. The discrepancy between the visual and auditory input creates interesting field of tension and creates potentials for scientific research. Most interesting to me are the specific situations where we navigate or base decisions on sound rather than vision (e.g. conductor of an orchestra, players in a field game etc.). Here the headphones are most successful in confusing the wearer.
